What is an e-Shram Card?
The e-Shram Card is a government identity card made for informal workers — like house helps, construction workers, delivery workers, drivers, cleaners, security guards, and more.
It is issued by the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.
The card contains your name, age, job type, Aadhaar number, and a 12-digit unique ID number (UAN).
It is part of a national database that helps the government identify and support unorganized workers.
Once you get the card, it becomes easier to access government benefits — like insurance, pensions, health care, and skill training.
It is completely free to make — no charges, no fees.
The e-Shram Card is valid across India and does not need to be renewed right now.
Getting this card means your work is officially recognized, and you now have proof, protection, and power as a worker.
